For a long time, I thought overthinking was helpin

For a long time, I thought overthinking was helping me.

I believed that if I could prepare for every possible outcome, I could avoid pain.
But it didn’t protect me, it only kept me stuck.
Anxious. Frozen. Disconnected from myself.

Now I know better.

I don’t fight the thoughts anymore.
I thank them for trying to protect me.
But I also remind myself:
I’m no longer in survival mode.
I’m safe.
I can let go.
One breath at a time.
